DAVIS, Corporal Jason Lee Of Goodspring, TN, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008 after a motorcycle accident that occurred on Ladys Island, SC. Corporal Davis deployed to Iraq twice, serving in Fallujah and Ramadi with Bravo Company, 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Division. He was currently assigned as a Combat Marksmanship Coach with Range Company, Weapons and Field Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, SC. Cpl Davis is a graduate of Giles County High School and was 22 years old. Visitation will be Friday (today), July 11th, 2008 from 4 until 9 p.m., at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home in Pulaski, TN. Funeral Service will be Saturday, July 12th, 2008 at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home, with Brother Bill Irby officiating. Burial will follow in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, DC July 23rd, 2008 at 2 p.m., with Full Military Honors. He is survived by his mother and father, Diane and Ricky Travis of Goodspring, TN; brother, Brandon Davis and wife Jennifer of Athens, AL; sister, Kristen Baer and husband Jason of Goodspring, TN; brother, Cody Wray of Goodspring, TN; grandparents, Tom and Doris Davis of Athens, AL; nephews, Parker and Gentry Davis of Athens, AL; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends also survive.
