Mrs. Corinne Parker Smith, age 91, of Oakwood died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2007, at Peachtree Plantation. A native and lifelong resident of Hall County, Mrs. Smith was the daughter of the late Marvin and Emma Owen Parker. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Smith; son, Larry Smith; and a grandson, Keith Smith. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Royce Deaton, Gainesville; daughter-in-law, Millie Smith, Cleveland; grandchildren, Randy Deaton, Gainesville, Mike and Jennifer Deaton, Lula, and Kelly Smith, Dahlonega; special friend, Sylvia Vickers, Oakwood; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007, at 11 a.m. in the Mason and Ward Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Wilburn Peeples and the Rev. Clack Stubbs will officiate. Interment will follow in Alta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Mason & Ward, 1190 McEver Road from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2007.
