CORA JANET CARR February 26, 1912 - September 7, 2011 Mother passed away peacefully and with dignity at the Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg on September 7, 2011 in her 100th year. Cora was predeceased by her much loved husband Eric Wilson Carr in 1998 after 57 years of a very loving marriage. She was the loving daughter of Thomas and Sarah Trotter of Clydesdale, ON. She was the much loved mother of James Carr and his wife Sheilah and the adored grandmother of Eric and his wife Ida. She was the loving sister of Cecil Trotter and his wife Uena of Bancroft, ON and was predeceased by her sisters Ellen (Mrs. Harald Milburn), Peggy Trotter and Vera (Mrs. Neil McTavish). Cora was an RN having trained at the Toronto Western Hospital and the Port Hope Hospital where she met her husband. They were married in 1941. The family would like to thank Dr. Strafford and the staff at Extendicare, Port Hope, whose professionalism, care and dedication made mother's last few years more comfortable and secure. The same can be said for the nurses and staff at the Northumberland Health Centre in Cobourg. Finally, a special special heartfelt thanks to Ghel Jarvis, mother's caregiver and friend, who has been a tower of strength to us all and whose care, compasssion, dedication and love made Cora's last few years so much more comfortable and enjoyable - words cannot thank her enough. To my mother, family and friends were everything to which she gave her all and it is for that for which she will be most remembered. There will be a private memorial service held at a later date in Port Hope. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. John's Anglican Church Port Hope, or the Northumberland Health Centre in Cobourg would be appreciated. "Forever in our hearts, forever in our minds."
