Avis de décès de Connie-Sue Jackson

Connie Sue (Stafford) Jackson, 60, of Bolivar, died in her home following a long illness. She was born February 11, 1950 in St. Joseph, Missouri the daughter of Ralph and Juanita (Gentry) Stafford. She lived in St. Joseph throughout her childhood and graduated from Benton High School where she met her husband, Terry Jackson. She and Terry married in 1968 and had two sons, Sean and Brian. Connie was a military wife who served proudly alongside her husband, Colonel Terry Jackson for 26 years in the United States Air Force. Terry was a better officer and the Air Force family stronger because of all of the lives she touched along the way. Connie spent time as a volunteer, a nurse, an administrative assistant, a Red Cross coordinator, and a tax preparer. However her true passion was her two children and later her five grandchildren. A devoted mother, she was very proud of her two sons who are also career Air Force officers, and was always there when they needed her. Since settling in Bolivar she has enjoyed quilting and joining Terry in various school and community activities. She is survived by her husband Terry; two sons Sean and wife Cindy and their children Matthew and Megan of Alexandria, Va; and Brian and wife Emily and their children, Natalie, Alexander and Josie of Phoenix, Ariz. She is also survived by her mother Juanita Stafford; a brother Jerry Stafford and wife Sara and their children; her father- and mother-in-law, Howard and Dorothy Jackson and a sister-in-law and brother-in-law Karen and John Buhman and their two sons. She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Stafford and a brother Charles Stafford. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Connie's name to the Carrie J. Babb Cancer Center, 1500 North Oakland, Bolivar Mo., or the First Baptist Church Russian Mission, Bolivar Mo. Services celebrating Connie's life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 2010 in Bolivar First Baptist Church. Visitation will be in the church Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Murray Funeral Home, Bolivar. Online condolences may be made at www.murrayfuneralhomes.com. Family and friends join in giving thanks to God for Connie and a life well lived. She was a testimony to God's grace and a joy to know.
