MILLER, Colleen 2008-06-27 Mrs. Colleen Patricia Miller, age 83 years, passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at Bethammi Nursing Home. Colleen was born on March 19, 1925 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She worked for Lakehead Freighways in the accounting department. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and making crafts. She was a member of a group called Mothers on Budgets in the 1980‘s. They were a group of women who helped out needy families and single moms to get back on their feet. She also was one of the original founders of Castlegreen. Colleen will be sadly missed by her children: Roy Weber, David Weber, Wayne Miller and Janice Turner; grandchildren: Lee Pacholczak (Candice), Michael Miller, Katelyn Turner (Ryan), Samantha Weber, Chris, April and Jennifer Weber; great grandchildren: Heidi and Jaxon; sister Norah Nadrichny; brother Frank (Lorraine) Devenney; sister-in-law Barbara Devenney; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Paul Weber; daughter in infancy Debbie Miller; parents Thomas and Isabel Devenney; brothers Jack, Graham and Bill; sisters: Alice Stuart, Stella Fairie and her twin sister that died at birth. Funeral services for Colleen Miller will be held at 2:30 P.M. on Monday, June 30, 2008 at the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma with Mr. Stephan Bilynskyy officiating. A private family Interment Service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
