STEWART, Colin1924 – 2015Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family, on October 14, 2015, in his 92nd year. Predeceased by his wife Vera. Loving father of Joan (Fred), Christine (Randall) and Jean. Cherished grandfather of Christine, Carolyn (Rob), Laura (Jonah), Elizabeth, Liza (Omar), Shane and Christine. He also leaves behind five great- grandchildren and other family and friends. Until the end, he lived his life to the fullest. Born in Manchester, England, he served in the Second World War as an engineer in the British army stationed in Egypt. He was an avid athlete becoming the welter weight champion of the army and playing soccer and rugby at a high level for many years of his life. After the war, he moved his family to Jamaica to work as an engineer then moved to Trinidad before joining his daughter Joan in Canada in 1985. The family will receive condolences on Wednesday October 21, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at:Mount Royal Funeral Complex1297 Chemin de la Forêt,Outremont, QC, H2V 2P9(514)279-6540www.mountroyalcem.com The funeral service will be held on Thursday October 22, 2015, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of the Complex.
