Clyde F. Johnson, 81, Venice, died Oct. 1, 2002. He was born March 9, 1921, in Crystal Falls, Mich., and came to Venice in 1986 from Rochester, Mich. He was a salesman and part owner of Hartsig Supply Co. in Rochester, and was a Marine corporal during World War II. He was a member of Epiphany Cathedral. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mary L.; daughters Susan Flath of Venice and Katelyn Qualey of Tampa; a son, Michael of Loudon, Tenn.; a sister, Louella King of Piqua, Ohio; and two grandchildren. A memorial Mass will be later at Epiphany Cathedral. Burial will be in Epiphany Memorial Gardens. Ewing Funeral Home is in charge.
