Clifton A. Goodwin, 85, Bradenton, died April 20, 2003. He was born Sept. 25, 1917, in Whitman, Mass., and came to Manatee County in 1986 from Falmouth, Mass. He retired as a physician. He was a member of numerous medical societies. He was a graduate of Middlesex University Medical School in Waltham, Mass. He was a captain in the Army during the Korean War. He was Catholic. Survivors include daughters Ann Wigglesworth of Belmont, Mass., Jane Cappiello of Brockton, Mass., and Susan McDermott of North Falmouth, Mass.; sons Thomas of Brookline, Mass., and John of Hanover, Mass.; and nine grandchildren. The memorial service will be later in Massachusetts. National Cremation Society, Sarasota chapter, is in charge.
