Brown Cleta Mae (nee Hunt) 1925 2008 Cleta Brown passed away on December 21, 2008 after a lengthy stay in Manitou Lodge, Watrous, SK. She was born in Watrous on February 17, 1925 and is survived by her older brother, John A. Hunt of Medford, Oregon; and numerous relatives. Cleta was predeceased by her loving husband, William (Bill) Brown; her mother, Sara and father, John Albert; her brothers, Wallace and Harold; and her sister, Margaret. Cleta worked in a number of professions following graduation from high school. Her jobs varied from secretarial/receptionist positions to farming for over 20 years with her husband Bill, whom she married in 1956. She was a wonderful caregiver to her mother and father in their later years. After Bill and Cleta retired from farming, they owned and operated Brown's Motel at Manitou Beach for nearly 20 years. Bill and Cleta retired to Watrous in the mid-90's. Family and friends remember great barbeques and dinners at the farm and at Manitou Beach. Cleta was an active member of All Saints Anglican Church in Watrous for many years. The family is grateful for the kind and compassionate care she received from the staff at Manitou Lodge and Watrous hospital.
