1939-2014 BINGHAM - Clement P. Poulin, 74, died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at the Hospice House in Auburn. He was born Sept. 14, 1939 in Saint-Come-Linere, P.Q., Canada, to Marius and Rose-Aimée (Veilleux) Poulin. Clem was educated in Canada and spent many months working for his father's logging business since the time he was 14 years old. In the early 1960s he moved with his family from Canada to Bingham. There he met the love of his life, Jacqueline B. Belanger. On Aug. 3, 1963, they were married. He spent the next 30 years working as a woodsman for several contractors and also worked as a sawyer for local sawmills. He was predeceased by his parents; and a brother, Patrick Poulin. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jacqueline (Belanger) Poulin, of Bingham; a daughter, Lisa A. (Poulin) Blue, and her husband, David, of West Gardiner; a sister, Diane Theberge, of Skowhegan; sister-in-law Pat Belanger and her partner, Glenn Davis, of Turner; sister-in-law Ann Belanger, of Athens; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express a heartfelt thank-you to the SCU and AVU staff at Maine Medical Center and the Hospice House in Auburn for their kindness and care for Clem during their stay with them. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014, at St. Peter's Catholic Church on Owens Street in Bingham with the Rev. John Mazzei officiating. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial contribution to Christ the King Parish, (specify for St. Peter's Church), P.O. Box 369, Skowhegan, ME 04976. Cremation & Service arrangements are under the care of Giberson Funeral Home, 18 River St., in Bingham.
