Mrs. Claudia Schwoon Williams, 92, of Rogersville, Ala., passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002.Claudia, formerly of Birmingham, Ala., had been a resident of Rogersville since 1979. She graduated from the University of Montevallo in 1932 and was a retired schoolteacher in the Birmingham school system. She was a member of Rogersville United Methodist Church.Claudia was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore David The graveside service for Claudia will be Saturday, Dec. 7, at Rogersville United Methodist Church Cemetery at 2 p.m. The casket will be placed in the church and the family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. The Rev. Carl Long and the Rev. Frank Ellison will officiate.Claudia is survived by a cousin, Marguarite Barnes and her husband, Charles Barnes, of Houston, Texas; nieces, Leta Day of Rogersville, Lila Barber of Sheffield, Faye Page of Athens, Gloria Davis and her husband, Nolan, of Rogersville, Avis Seideta and her husband, Sam, of Youngstown, Ohio, Mary Brewer and her husband, Jarvis, of Rogersville.Pallbearers will be Truman Beggs, Bob Blanks, Michael Brewer, Lewis Cole, Ron Day, Jeff Day, Tim Page and Tony Page.Memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Rogersville United Methodist Church or to the Rogersville Emergency Ambulance Unit.The family wishes to thank Dr. Danny Martin, Dr. Timothy Ashley, Dr. Frank Hatchett and the staff and nurses on Stations Four and Five at Mitchell-Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their professional and loving care.
