Decatur<!--Decatur-->Funeral for Clarice Louise Harpe Smith, 67, of Decatur will be Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 1 p.m. at Shelton Funeral Home Chapel with Mike Nix officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith, who died Sunday, June 7, 2009, at Decatur General Hospital, was born July 23, 1941, in Decatur to Walter Allen Harpe and Ruth Audress Hall Harpe. She retired from the Decatur City school system following more than 20 years of service. She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, Billy G. Smith; son, Wesley G. Smith and wife, Cheryl, of Madison; two brothers, Kenneth Harpe and wife, Betty, and Bob Harpe and wife, Susan, both of Decatur; granddaughter, Victoria Lee Smith of Madison; and several nephews and nieces. Pallbearers will be Jeff Carden, Patrick Fitzgerald, Randy Carden, Duane Smith, Ted Carden and Ronnie Hall.
