Clara-Sue Bailey, née en 1909, conjointe de Charles Bailey, mère de Susan, Nc, Penny et De, est décédée le 21 juillet 2003 à l'âge de 94 ans.
'Nonny' as she was affectionately know to her family died at Kentmere Nursing Care Center on Monday July 21, 2003 at age 94 years. Clara Sue Schwandkamp was born in Buffalo, NY on May 27, 1909. He husband Charles Bailey, longtime radio broadcaster and sports writer for the Courier Express preceded her in death on December 27, 1982. She was a wonderful mother to Susan Combes of Boone, NC and Penny Stephens of Wilmington, DE and a loving mother-in-law to David Stephens. Her four grandchildren Kelly and George Combes of Atlanta, GA, Clare Patel of San Mateo CA and David Stephens Jr. of Ellicott City, MD adored her. She enjoyed holding her two great-grandchildren David Stephens III and Sejal Patel. Nonny had a loving personality, made many lasting friends over the years and, being a superb letter writer, kept in touch with many of them. While living in Buffalo she spent summers at her home in Waverly Beach, Ontario, a retreat she treasured always. When illness led her to a new home at Kentmere in Wilmington, she quickly made an impact with her warm personality upon the entire Kentmere community. Burial will be private with a Mass of Celebration of her remarkable and loving life to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the Employee Fund at Kentmere Nursing Care Center, 1900 Lovering Avenue, Wilmington, DE 19806. The many employees' loving care and attentive service made her later years more enjoyable and more comfortable. Arrangements by CHANDLER FUNERAL HOMES. (302) 478-7100
