Clara Ruth Sprott Smith, 82, formerly of Easley, wife of Harold Martin Smith of Greenville, for 58 years, died Tuesday, September 23, 2008 in Greenville.Born in Bracketteville, Texas, she was the daughter of the late William Roy and Emma Frances Cantrell Sprott.She was a member of the Taylors Church of Christ and retired from Bigelow-Sanford in Greenville.In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Harold Martin ("Marty") Smith, Jr. and his wife Dian of Simpsonville; a granddaughter, Hallie Ruth Smith also of Simpsonville; and a sister, Ruby Franklin of Phoenix, Arizona.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home - Downtown.Entombment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park Mausoleum.The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Friday, prior to the service.The family is at the home of Pat Harrison 10 Shrevewood Drive, Taylors.Memorials may be made to Interim Healthcare Hospice 775 Spartan Blvd. Spartanburg, SC 29301 or to Taylors Church of Christ P.O.
