Claire I. DupontResident of Chelmsford; age 74 CHELMSFORD -- Mrs. Claire I. (Champoux) Dupont, age 74, a resident of Chelmsford and a former longtime resident of Lowell, died on Monday, June 4, 2012, in Chelmsford, with her family by her side.She was the beloved wife of Marcel G. Dupont.Born in Lowell, MA on September 7, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Romeo and Irene (Marcotte) Champoux.Prior to her retirement, she had worked at the former Lowell Shoe Shop, and more recently as a dietician at the Tewksbury State Hospital.She loved taken trips to the beaches in Maine, and playing bingo.Surviving her in addition to her husband, Marcel, are a son and daughter-in-law, Gerard M. and Doreen Dupont of Lowell; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Michelle Y. and Richard Scotti of Townsend, and Annette J. and Donald Verville of Chelmsford; three grandchildren, David, Jessicca and Joseph; a great-grandson, Ryan; two sisters, Annette M. Boutin of Lowell, and Therese M. Dussault of New York; two sisters-in-law, Yvette Champoux and Lorraine Champoux, both of Dracut; also nieces and nephews.She was also the sister of the late Leo, Ernest, Henry, Raymond, Rita Jennison, and Lillian Giguere.Claire's family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the entire staff at Palm Manor for the wonderful care they provided.DUPONT -- Mrs. Claire I.
