Christopher James Edwards, 18, passed away July 10, 2001. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic Church School and Bishop Kenny High School where he was an honor student and received 3 scholarships. He won 2nd place in the spelling bee and served as alter boy from 5th to 9th grade. Survivors include his mother, Tessie B. Edwards; sister, Theresa B. Edwards; 3 brothers, Jonathan M., Jason D. Paul, and Daniel D. Edwards; uncle, Dr. Loreto A. Borja; and aunt, Nelia Borja. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM Monday, July 16, 2001 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with interment to follow in Riverside Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6-8PM with a Vigil Service beginning at 7PM Sunday at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home, 5753 Blanding Blvd. Father Jim May will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Christopher Edwards Fund c/o Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
