WEST, Christine LouiseAugust 16, 1965 - September 6, 2011It is with the deepest of sadness and loss to all who knew and loved her, we mourn the passing of Christine Louise West who peaceful rose to her Lord and Savior on September 6, 2011. The youngest child of Ann Louise West (Red Deer) and Ronald Charles West (Victoria, BC), Christine experienced and enjoyed a life full of adventures, people, and places. While born and raised for only a short while in Victoria, B.C., the calling of the ocean coast and the wondrous times of family, games, the stars, and adventures in Brentwood Bay would consistently draw Christine to annual pilgrimages to reunite with family and childhood memories. Christine lived in many places throughout B.C. during her childhood but eventually settled in Red Deer during her teenage years, attending Central Middle School and later graduating from LTCHS. She achieved many academic credentials including two diplomas from Red Deer College. She had many friends in many places throughout central Alberta and always had interesting stories to share of the places she lived, the jobs she held, and the people she touched. She was proud of her independence and her determination to challenge the next hurdle made her strong and wise to all that life could offer. Her big smile as always infectious, her wit a challenge to match, and her deep love of dogs was forever through Morgan, Bree, and Murphy. So sadly she will be missed by all.Christine also leaves to mourn and continue her only sibling Craig (Louise) West of Red Deer and their children Jennifer and Carson, her life soulmate James Cote (Edmonton), his parents Christa and George, his brothers Don and Roberts and families of Red Deer, the parents and families of cousins Scott (Dallas) West of Airdrie and Dale (Allison) West of Victoria as well as countless friends throughout her life's path. Show us the way to the next life Christine. For yours is the journey to happen first, for those of to follow later. For we shall all meet again. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to your local SPCA in Christine name.A celebration of Christine's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12 in Edmonton, AB by Howard & McBride Funeral Homes (16310 Stony Plain Road). To send condolences, please visitwww.westlawnmemorial.com
