Funeral for Christine Frost Smith, 80, of Sheffield will be Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Town Creek with Bro. Jake Yarbrough and Bro. Hollis Retherford officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. The body will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Blackground Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 at the funeral home. Mrs. Smith, who died Sunday, March 19, 2006, at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital, was born April 7, 1925, in Lawrence County to Emmanuel Frost and Ether Posey Frost. She was a seamstress for G.C. Lingerie. She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Her husband, the Rev. Bennie Smith, preceded her in death. Survivors include three sons, LeRoy Smith and his wife, Hannah, of Town Creek, Benjamin Smith and his wife, Elizabeth, of Hartselle and Bobby Smith of Sheffield; two daughters, Diane Smith of Sheffield and Sandra Black and her husband, Kenneth, of East Lawrence; one brother, Connie Frost and his wife, Lucille, of Town Creek; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Lynn Frost, David Frost, Roger Reed, Gary Parker, Larry Parker, Drew Parker and Brian McGregor.
