Christine D. (Dufresne) O'Briena former resident of Lowell; 88 NASHUA, NH -- Mrs. Christine D. (Dufresne) O'Brien, age 88, a resident of Langdon Place in Nashua, NH and a former longtime resident of the Pawtucketville section of Lowell, died Saturday evening, March 26, 2011, at the Bedford Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, NH. She was the wife of the late Thomas J. O'Brien.Born in Lowell, MA on June 12, 1922 she was a daughter of the late Edward T. and Alice (Perry) Dufresne.While residing in Lowell, she was a parishioner of Ste. Marguerite d'Youville Parish in Dracut.Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an executive secretary for forty two years by the New England Electric Power Co. now known as National Grid.Surviving her are two nephews, Stephen E. Merrill and his wife Cindy of Litchfield, NH and David P. Merrill of Merrimack, NH; also a grand-niece, Caitlin Merrill; and two grand-nephews, Matthew Merrill and Tyler Merrill.She was also the sister of the late Jeannette Boyle who died in 1988, C. Edward Dufresne who died in 2004 and Hilda M. Merrill who died in 2006.O'BRIEN -- Mrs. Christine D. (Dufresne) O'Brien.
