OBITUARY CHRISTINA FEARN NORTRANDERS (NEE LAWSON) Passed away at the Montreal General Hospital on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the age of eighty-five. Daughter of the late Thomas Lawson and his wife Jean Armstrong. Much loved mother of Lisa (Jacek Morawski) of Calgary. Survived by daughter-in-law Joanne Montagano (Raymond Leclerc) of Montreal and grandchildren Kaj, Jan, Megan, Erica and Laurent. Predeceased by her sisters Nancy Greenberg (Louis) and Margaret Heeney (Sherman). Lovingly remembered by all her nieces and nephews. Fearn was educated at Glebe Collegiate in Ottawa and graduated from Nursing at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children in 1945 and received her post graduate degree from McGill University in 1949. Fearn worked at the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children as Head Nurse on the pediatric ward before moving to Montreal where she was the Head Nurse on the infant's ward at the Montreal Children's Hospital as well as Head Nurse of the Oral Surgery department at the Montreal General Hospital. Fearn was a faithful member of the St. Lambert United Church. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her many plants. Lisa would like to thank the caring staff at the MGH dialysis unit and 15 east. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at the St. Lambert United Church, 85 boul.
