March 18, 2006 Cheryl L. Anderson, 58, of Lakeshore Road North, Verona Beach, died peacefully early Saturday evening March 18, 2006 at the Oneida Healthcare Center with her loving daughters at her side. In 1998, she retired from VVS Central School with 25 years of service teaching biology and chemistry. She was presently teaching at Christian Brothers Academy in Syracuse and Suny Morrisville College at Morrisville. While teaching at CBA, she helped found their teachers union. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Oneida. Cheryl was the founder and president of Families Through Adoption and was a member of the Adopted Parents Group. Surviving are her three daughters, Lindsey Anderson of Verona Beach, Kathryn Anderson of Canastota and Versha Anderson of Verona Beach; two grandchildren, Maynard and Natalie, and her former husband, Mark Anderson of Oneida. Friends are invited to call on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at the Malecki Funeral Home, Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill. Cheryl's funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 551 Sayles Street, Oneida, NY. Spring burial will be in Valley View Cemetery, Oneida, NY.
