->Charlotte Lorraine (Cross, Bell, Smith) Miller, age 69, went to meet the lord on October 3rd , 2010 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born and raised in upstate NY, where she was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred Isabelle McKenzie Cross, and Allie Percy Cross. Charlotte owned her own successful beauty shop on Old Owego Road, in Ross Corners, NY for about 6 years. She later lived in Endicott, NY, Kendal Park New Jersey and Concord North Carolina where she loved being a stay-at-home mom, involved in many school and church activities. In her forties, she embarked on a daring new 15 year career as a flight attendant for TWA out of St Louis, MO. She very much appreciated traveling the world, seeing all the sites, and experiencing the various cultures. She enjoyed her career to the fullest, sharing traveling-perks with everyone she could well into her retirement. Charlotte moved to Fairburn, Georgia in 1993 and married her soul mate Jimmie Miller in 1996. In 2003 they moved to Ocala, Florida to spend their remaining years. There they've lived happily among friends and family for seven years. Surviving Charlotte are her husband, Jimmie Miller in Ocala FL., her two sons and one daughter and their spouses; Rick and Diane Bell of Owego NY, Ron and Kelly Bell of Apalachin, NY, and Rebecca and Todd Jacobs of St. Louis, MO. Also surviving are her brothers and their wives, Fred and Pat Cross, Ted and Darlene Cross, and Keith and Carole Cross. In addition, Charlotte leaves behind 11 grandchildren; Hailey, Kayla, Josh, Molly, Hayden, Nathan, Jackson, Alexey, Madison, Sharlotte (her names' sake), Jada, great grandchild; Joslyn and step children; Greg Miller, Tamara Wahl & Tarra DuClos. Charlotte will be greatly missed by many other close friends and family including Dave and Cherilyn Cross, Harry and Mary Lee Flight, Pete and Lorna (VanKuren) Palmblad, Janet Rohrer, her Sunday school class from Ocala First Baptist Church and her Rolling Greens community. Charlotte had a positive impact on everyone she met, a wonderful sense of humor and a great relationship with her God. She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege to know her.Many thanks to all who helped support "Charlie" (and family) during her 4 year battle with cancer, and thanks to the nurses and staff at Estelle's Hospice House who took such great care of mom.A memorial service will be held at the First Baptist Church of Ocala, 2801 SE Maricamp Rd, Ocala, FL 34471 at 11:00 am Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010
