On Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, Charlotte Daughety Clark passed from this life and entered into heaven to be with Jesus. A funeral service celebrating her life will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at York Terrace Baptist Church. The Rev. Rodney Shewbart will be officiating. Interment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.Charlotte was born in Sheffield, Ala., and resided in Muscle Shoals. She was a 1962 graduate of Sheffield High School, where she was a majorette, and she attended UNA. Charlotte worked in the finance and banking business for more than 25 years. Her employers were Wells Fargo, Norwest Financial and Dial Finance.Charlotte was a very active member of York Terrace Baptist Church, where she was involved with the WMU and Abundant Lifers. Charlotte also was involved with sports. She was a softball umpire, and she also was a pitcher for Royal Electric and Buccaneers women's softball team, and she played recreation league volleyball. In addition to these things, she also was a Girl Scout Leader. She truly was the best mom and grandmother in the world.Preceding her in death were her son, Christopher Wade Martin; father, Charles Henry; and husband, Robert Albert "Buddy" Clark III.She is survived by her mother, Marjorie Camadello Daughety; daughters, Paige Martin Fague and husband, Jonathan, and Ashley Martin Crow and husband, Jeff; sisters, Peggy Smith and husband, Robert, and Margie Bendall and husband, Wayne; grandchildren, Alexander Fague, Anna Hope Fague, Sarah Grace Fague, Mackenzie Crow, Maggie Crandall, Mary Kate Warren, Kaitlyn Martin, Alisha Grimes and Landon Martin; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Warren.Pallbearers include Jonathan Fague, Chuck McGee, Robert Smith, Wayne Bendall, Jerry Austin, Dennis Edwards, Brent Sheldon and Lance Brannon.Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
