Gilbert Cubbison and Bro. Tommy Crocker officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mr. Hardin passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 at his home in Lexington. He was born August 8, 1923 in Henderson County to the late Jasper Leroy Hardin, Sr. and Lela Ada Boswell Hardin. He was a World War II, U.S. Navy Veteran and worked as a farmer/cattleman on the family owned Hardin Brothers Farm. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jasper Leroy Hardin, Jr. and Tom Frank Hardin; two sisters, Mary Lou Hardin Essary and Ada Sue Hardin Poniecki; nephew, Edward Leroy Hardin. Survivors include his sister-in-law, Mrs. Ruth Bird Hardin of Lexington; four nieces, Ina Karen (Troy) Farrow of Memphis, Mary Carla (Bill) McCrary of Memphis, Valerie Jean (James) Kizer of Lexington and Janna Rose (Judd) Jones of Knoxville; two nephews, James Timothy (Carol) Hardin and Charles Terry Hardin of Lexington; four great nephews, Jared (Lezlie) Kizer and sons Carson and Owen of Chesterfield, MO, Jordan (Cassie) Kizer and daughter Macy of Scotts Hill, Jesse Jones and Jentry Jones of Knoxville; numerous other great nieces, nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
