Wynn, 79, of Lanett, Alabama died Friday, January 9, 2015 at EAMC Lanier Memorial Hospital in Valley, Alabama.Funeral services are planned for Monday, January 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM (EST) at Todd Congregational Christian Church in Valley with his grandsons Cal LeVert, D.J. Belser and Joey Belser, Rev. Bill Hand, Rev. Larry Vinson, Rev. Nathan Lawrence, and Frank Walls officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest cemetery in Lanett.Visitation will be held Sunday, January 11, 2015 from 6:00P.M. (EST) to 8:00P.M. (EST) at the Johnson Brown Funeral Home in Valley.Dr. Wynn is survived by his faithful wife of 56 years Clara; two loving daughters, Beth (Chuck) LeVert, Dawson, GA, Martha Anne (David) Belser, LaFayette; three grandsons, Cal (Holli), Byron, GA, D.J. (Rachel) Belser, Lanett, and Joey Belser, Birmingham, (these boys were his pride and joy); two great-grandchildren, Charlie (my Buddy) and Kayli Anne (my little princess); one brother, Eddie (Dot) Wynn; niece and nephew, Eddie Wynn, Jr. and Mary Clark all of New Bern, NC; one sister, Mrs. Eugenia McCartney; niece, Tabitha McCartney of Auburn, AL; along with many other family and friends.He was born September 28, 1935 in Hatchechubee, Alabama to the late Bennie and Wistee Cox Wynn. He was a faithful servant of God for 57 years, pastoring churches in New Orleans, LA and several in the state of Alabama. He was East Liberty Baptist Association Director of Missions for 20 years, and currently served as pastor of Todd Congregational Christian Church in Valley. As a Bible Scholar, he taught Bible Studies in many churches. He was a Godly man who loved church work and working with people. He worked with ALCAP drug and alcohol prevention programs in many schools in the state. He especially loved young people and taught at Southern Union in Wadley, AL.He was a graduate of Auburn Polytechnic Institute, now Auburn University, where he received a degree in Agricultural Science. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Ministry from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
