Mr. Charles Winn, 62, of Walthourville departed this life Sunday, May 17, at Candler Hospital after an extended illness. He was born in Sarasota, Fla., to Missouri Bryant Winn and the late James Winn. Before becoming ill, Mr. Winn was employed as a logger. Survivors include a loving wife, Cynthia Winn; a son, Terry Winn of Midway; three daughters, Charlene Winn of Walthourville and Shada Winn of Statesboro; a stepdaughter, Deidre Martin of Walthourville; his mother, Missouri Winn of Walthourville; two brothers, Curtis Winn and Ulysses Winn of Walthourville; three sisters, Rosa Lee Anderson of Allenhurst, Katherine Allen of Crescent and Eunice Lewis of Richmond Hill; and 10 grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Tuesday at Dorchester Funeral Home in Midway. His funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Frank V. Givens Memorial Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Baconton Church Cemetery. Dorchester Funeral Home has charge of the arrangement.
