DAVIS, Charles T., 86, of Wauchula, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 2, 2004, in Lake Placid. Born in Wauchula, he was a life-long resident of Hardee County. He was a World War II veteran of the United States Army, serving in the pacific campaign. He was self-employed as a plasterer, and was saved through a Baptist minister. He is survived by his wife, Weita Louise Davis of Wauchula; a son Jim Davis and wife Elisabeth of Winter Haven; a sister, Catherine "Cat" Roberts of Wauchula; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles T. Davis, his parents, Robert and Cleo Collier Davis, and sisters, Mildred Davis Autrey and Marie Davis Coston. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Wauchula Cemetery with Rev. Nate Osborne and Rev. Brook Larrison officiating. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made in his memory to Faith Presbyterian Church of Wauchula. Arrangements by: Robarts Family Funeral Home. Wauchula.
