CHARLES S. LEE CROWN POINT, IN Charles S. Lee, age 72 of Crown Point, passed away April 8, 2011 at the University of Chicago Hospital, surrounded by family and loved ones. Charles was born February 27, 1939 in Pine Village, IN to Betty and Orval Lee. He graduated from Rensselaer High School in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for PTO Services, Inc. as a truck driver until he retired in 2004. Charles really enjoyed spending time with his family and working outdoors, especially at the Meditation Garden at his church. Charles is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 45 years, Linda (nee Eckholm) Lee; two children: Nicole Lee and Nathan (Christina) Lee, both of Valparaiso. He is also survived by his siblings: Robert (Patty) Lee of Centennial, CO and Nancy (Larry) Smiley of North Las Vegas; along with sister-in- law, Colleen (George) Wright; brother-in-law, Dean (Marilyn) Eckholm; and other numerous relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Orval and Betty. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Crown Point, 352 S. Main Street. Services will follow at the church at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8178 Cline Avenue, Schererville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Memorial Fund through First United Methodist Church of Crown Point.
