Charles McFadden, 75, of Brick, N.J., passed away at home on July 6, 2014, with his family by his side. A viewing will be offered on Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Rd., Brick, N.J. 08723. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday at 10 a.m. at St. Dominic's Church, Brick, N.J. Cremation will be private. Charles was born in Newark, N.J., and was raised in Belleville, N.J., before moving to Brick, N.J., over 20 years ago. He retired from Schering-Plough after 25 years of service. Charles was an avid fisherman, who enjoyed taking his boat out in the ocean. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Carol McFadden; four daughters, Doreen McFadden, Diane McFadden, Carolyn Fernandes and Jo Ann Kleiman, and three grandchildren, Kellie Bassarab, Amie Bassarab and Marco Di Salvio. He is also survived by his sister, Carol Gentile, and sons-in-law, Steven Fernandes, Salvatore Di Salvio, and Andrew Kleiman.
