Charles Lindy Williams, 79, died July 14, 2006, at the Jupiter Medical Center in Jupiter. He was born in Gate City, Va., and was a winter visitor to Vero Beach since 1970, coming from Haymarket, Va. He moved here permanently in 1990. He was the owner and operator of the Charles L. Williams Tile Co. Inc. in Manassas, Va. He was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Seabees in the Navy. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Jewel C. Williams of Vero Beach; daughters, Lindy Sue Sharp of Fredricksburg, Va., Cindy Lou Russell-Olson of Minneapolis, Kathy Ann Wike of Manassas, Jenny Lee Gochoel of Jupiter; brother, Robert Williams of Manassas; sisters, Jackie Crim of Purcelville, Va., and Elizabeth Legard of Lovittsville, Va.; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Memorial contributions may be made to the VNA Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960. SERVICES: Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. July 16 at the Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home in Vero Beach. He will be transferred to the Price Funeral Home in Manassas for services and burial.
