Charles Johnson September 27, 1934 - April 24, 2014 Macon, GA- Charles Johnson, 79, passed away April 24, 2014. Memorial services will be held 4:00 pm Sunday, April 27, 2014 in Wheeler Heights Baptist Church on Riggins Mill Rd. The family will receive friends from 3-4pm at the church. Rev. Franklin Etheridge will be officiating. Mr. Johnson was born in Sandersville, GA and was in the United States Army. He was a mechanic at J.M. Huber Corp and Elliott Machine Shop for many years. He was a member of Wheeler Heights Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his mother Maddie Johnson, his grandfather, Edward C. Johnson, his grandmother, Carrie Alberta Johnson, his brother Thomas Johnson and his beloved granddaughter, Rebecca "Becky" Charlene Thompson. Survivors include his wife Annette Little Johnson of Macon; daughter, Melissa (Frank) Williamson; son Richard Johnson of Macon; five grandchildren, Christy (Josh) Herring, Miranda Johnson, Noah Johnson, Brandon Cheek, Camden Johnson; one great grandchild, J.J. Herring. In lieu of Flowers donations may be made to Wheeler Heights Baptist Church on 4318 Riggins Mill Rd. Macon, 31217 GA. Reece Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
