Charles Furman Johnson died January 26, 2010. He was a longtime resident of the Batesburg-Leesville area in South Carolina. He was born January 12, 1930 in Hendersonville, N.C. He was a Naval veteran of World War II and retired after many years of service with the SC Commission of the Blind.He was preceded in death by his parents: Norman Boyd Johnson Sr. and Nora Elizabeth Nanney Johnson; two brothers: Norman B. Johnson Jr. and William Virgil Johnson; and a sister Doris Cook.'Ferdnand' left many loving nieces and nephews and grands to remember him.A family graveside service will be Saturday, January 30, 2010, at 2 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park, Greenville, S.C.Woodlawn Funeral Home, Greenville, S.C.
