He was the son of the late Richard and Maude Everill McCormack. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was formerly employed at the American Can Co. and retired from the Geneva School District. He was a member of Winnek Post # 396 AmericanLegion, V. F. W. Post # 2670 and was a former member of the Geneva Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; his children, Richard McCormack of Wichita Falls, Texas, Deborah of Texas and Patricia of Texas, their two grandchildren, Tracy Loucks of Shortsville, Tammy Waite of Shortsville; Larry Waite of Clifton Springs, Dan (Kim) Waite of Middleton, Ohio, and Randy (Julie) Waite of Palmyra; his sister, Helen Coomber of Fairport; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.He was predeceased by his four brothers and five sisters.For those wishing to write a note of condolence, please visit www.devaneybennettfh.com.Arrangementshave been entrusted to the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home
