Charles Christopher Hale SOUTH BERWICK, Maine - Charles Christopher Hale, 42, of High St. died peacefully Sunday, June 23 at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover, surrounded by loving family. He was born November 11, 1970 in Roanoke, Va. to Ralph Hale and Charlene Belliveau (Walker). During his life Chris worked as a chef and a counselor for troubled youth. He was an artist and artisan who loved working with his hands, leaving behind a body of work that includes sculpture, drawings, jewelry, wood and stonework, and, most recently, computer graphics. Chris was a life-long student whose interests included ancient history, science, and mycology. Chris was predeceased by his father Ralph Hale. He is survived by his longtime companion Michele Lajoie, his mother Charlene Belliveau and her husband John of South Berwick, a sister Pamela St. Peter of Portsmouth, a brother Robert St. Peter and his wife Juliane Perry of Sedgwick, Maine, a stepgrandmother Karol Belliveau of South Berwick, Maine, two nieces Emma Rain Perry-St. Peter and Luna Butterfly Perry-St. Peter of Sedgwick, Maine, and numerous extended family in Virginia. Visiting hours will be Friday June 28 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. with a service at 7:30 p.m. at the McIntire-McCooey Funeral Home, 301 Main St., South Berwick, Maine.
