CHARLES A. ANDERSO N RALEIGH, NC: Charles "Chuck" Arthur Anderson, 86, a longtime resident of Village Green, passed away Christmas morning, December 25, 2006. Born on April 15, 1920 in Buffalo, NY; he was the son of the late Arthur and Myrtle Sutz Anderson. He retired as Blast Furnace Superintendent from Republic Steel in Youngstown, Ohio in 1978. He had served as President of the Eastern States Blast Furnace and Coke Ovens Association in 1979-1980. At Village Green, he was an avid bowler and served as President of the Golfers League for a number of years. Charles is survived by his wife of 65 years: Irma M. Anderson; by his son and daughter-inlaw: Eric and Janet Anderson, Riverview, MI; by his daughter and son-in-law: Sally and Dale Chamberlain, of Raleigh; and by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Charles and by his daughter, Carolyn. A Memorial Services was held on Thursday, December 28th at 11 AM at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh.
