Charles Allan Peters, 73, Bradenton and Monessen, Pa., died Dec. 11, 2002. He was born April 29, 1929, in Monessen, Pa., and spent the winters since 1991 in Manatee County from there. He was a mechanical engineer for the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie Railroad. He was a member of First Christian Church of Monessen. Survivors include his wife, Eula; daughters Norma Jean Wunder of Irwin, Pa., and Dawn O'Connor of Sterling Forrest, N.Y.; stepdaughters Denise Hillman and Dianne Eland, both of Belle Vernon, Pa.; a son, Dean of Vandalia, Ohio; stepsons Jerry Calcagni of Smithville, N.J., Dannel Calcagni of Star Junction, Pa., and Shawn Calcagni of Belle Vernon; a sister, Lillian Mack of White Plains, Md.; a brother, Earl of Waynesburg, Pa.; 13 grandchildren; and one great- grandchild. No visitation is scheduled. Services will be later in Pennsylvania. Burial will be in West Newton Cemetery, West Newton, Pa. Griffith-Cline Funeral Home, Manatee Avenue Chapel, is in charge.
