CHARTRAND, Charles Aimé “Charlie“ - 1944-2007 - The family announces with great sorrow his death at the Timmins and District Hospital on Saturday, August 25th, 2007 at the age of 62 years. Loving husband of Nicole (Nee Lacasse). Dear father of Nathalie Chartrand (husband Hubert Bélanger) of Deux-Montagnes, Quebec and Steve Chartrand of Saint- Calexie, Quebec. Step-father of Raymonde Reid (husband Bill) of Timmins, Chantale Trudel of Barrie, Natalie Cloutier (husband Tony) of Schumacher, Kim Bernier (husband Michel) of Harmon, Quebec and Warren Johnston (wife Louise) of Ottawa. Grandfather of Stéphanie, Dominique and Félix. Step-grandfather of Krista, Marc Jr., Mélanie, Michael, Kathleen, Mercedes, Kayla, Nancy and Alex. Dearest son of Yvonne Chartrand of Haileybury and the late Jean Albert Chartrand (1987). Brother of Gérard Chartrand (wife Bonnie) of Sturgeon Falls, Marguerite Boissonneault (husband Richard) of Répentigny, Quebec, Raymond Chartrand of Laval, Quebec, Denise Heaps (husband Allan) of Ville LaSalle, Quebec, Aurele Chartrand (wife Michelle) of Longueil, Quebec, Cécile Viau (husband René) of Timmins, Léo Chartrand of Longueil, Quebec and Huguette Chartrand of Varennes, Quebec. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Charlie was born in Judge, Ontario, on October 4th, 1944. He moved to Timmins in 1977 and married his wife Nicole here on September 5th, 1998. Charlie was a sports fanatic, he loved to watch all kinds of different sporting events on television. He also enjoyed working on his crossword puzzle books. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29th, 2007 in the CHAPEL of the MIRON- WILSON FUNERAL HOME, Pastor Gilles Trahan will be officiating. Cremation will follow and interment will take place at a later date at the Timmins Memorial Cemetery. Remembrance donations to the Muscular Dystrophy Foundation of Canada would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 28th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the MIRON-WILSON FUNERAL HOME, 150 Balsam St., S., Timmins.
