BOUCHARD, Cecile Melanie January 26, 1922 December 10, 2011 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Cecile Bouchard, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and loyal friend. Cecile who is survived by our dad, Bert Bouchard, by her children, Diane (Ken) Lair and David (Vicki) Bouchard, by her grandchildren, Ryan, Carla, Adrien (Kasia), Etienne (Kelsey) and Victoria passed on Saturday, December 10th. Our mom was born in Bronco, Saskatchewan to Peter and Caroline Mercier. She and dad were married in Regina on July 16th, 1945. They resided in St. Front before moving to Gravelbourg, Saskatchewan where we lived from 1954 to 1968. We lived in Regina until 1989 at which time we all found ourselves living in beautiful British Columbia. Mom's passion and pride was her family and the countless friends she made as easily as she made her French Canadian tourtiere. She and dad spent the last 20 years in Sidney where they made many lifelong, wonderful friends who continue to love and support our dad. Our family is grateful to these amazing people, to father Rolf and the parish of St. Elizabeth and to the professional, dedicated and loving staff at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital. A celebration of mom's life will be held on December 27th, at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth's Church in Sidney. The short service will be followed by an informal reception and lunch. Everyone is welcome.
