WATERVILLE -- Cecile M. Roy, 93, of Winslow died Monday, June 27, 2005, at Mount St. Joseph nursing home after a brief Illness. Cecile was born in Waterville on Sept. 29, 1911, a daughter of Henry and Edith (Mercier) King.She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church, Winslow and as a child was a member of the Children of Mary. Cecile worked well into her 80s at C.F. Hathaway Co. and continued to live independently until the past few weeks. She loved gardening.Cecile was predeceased by her husband, Harold Roy, and two brothers, Ralph Roy and Lionel Roy.Surviving are two daughters, Yvette Poulin of Winslow and Germaine Wallace of Warren; a sister, Loretta Desveaux of Winslow; eight grandchildren, Stephen, Roger, Joyce, Bruce, Christine, Michael, Karen and David; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.Visiting hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, at Veilleux Funeral Home, 8 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 30, at St. John the Baptist Church, Winslow. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
