Catherine Knighton Williams, 89, widow of James Clyde Williams, died Friday, January 25, 2008, at Oakmont East Living Center. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late John and Carrie Belle Bartlett Knighton. Mrs. Williams was retired from Poe Manufacturing Company and a member of God's House of Prayer. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. A graveside service will be held Sunday, January 27, 2008, at 3 p.m. at Grand View Memorial Gardens with visitation to follow. The family will be at their respective homes. Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
