SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. Catherine West Ryan, age 99, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., died Dec. 31, 2012, in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with George Shaddix officiating and Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Alexander Ryan; parents, Leland Stanford West and Nora Belle Massey West; sister, Jimmie Lou Jones; and brother, Russell West.Survivors include daughters, Mary Catherine Ryan Bailey and Sammie Ryan Stephens, both of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Mrs. Ryan was born in Laurel, Mississippi on Nov. 21, 1913. She moved to Tuscaloosa, Alabama where she met and married Samuel A.
