CASEY Catherine V. Young Casey, age 94 of Shelton, passed away at Gardner Heights in Shelton, January 26, 2009. Mrs. Casey was born in Bridgeport and was a longtime area resident. She was predeceased by her husband, Vincent D. Casey Sr. Survivors include four children, Veronica O'Leary and her husband, John of Milford, Vincent D. Casey Jr. and his wife, Margaret of Ansonia, William R. Casey and his wife, Janet of Trumbull and Cathleen Russo and her husband, Greg of Derby; six grandchildren, Shaun O'Leary, Kevin O'Leary, Vincent D. Casey III, Scott Casey, Brian Russo, and Christopher Russo; five great-grandchildren, Shan-nen, Anna, Conall, Kyla and Giancarlo O'Leary; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters, Robert, Helen, Ethel, Charles, and Mary. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday at 10 a.m. Directly at St. Mary's Church, 212 Elizabeth St., Derby. Inurnment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery. Friends may greet the family on Thursday January 29, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to CT Hospice or to the Office of Radio and Television Arch Diocese of Hartford through the funeral director.
