STUART Catherine (Cathleen) Hoffman Stuart, age 86, of Bridgeport, devoted wife of the late Stanley Stuart, passed away on September 6th, 2011 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. She will be lovingly remembered by family and friends including her daughter Margaret Anania, and her husband, Joseph, of Fairfield; her son, Stanley Stuart, and his wife, Alice, of Meriden; 5 grandchildren: Joseph, Matthew, Anthony and Thomas Anania, and Jacqueline Stuart; several nieces and nephews including Jane Hoffman, and grand-nieces, Caroline and Grace O'Brien. In addition to her beloved husband, Stanley, she was predeceased by two brothers, Henry and Charles Hoffman. Growing up in New York City, Cathy lived in Scarsdale, New York before moving to Bridgeport in 1993 to be closer to her family. Before raising her children, she worked for the US State Department. Cathy enjoyed square and ballroom dancing, and getting together with her friends at the Easton Senior Center. Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 to 8pm in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, in Fairfield Center. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 930am in Holy Family Church, 700 Old Stratfield Road, Fairfield.
