REMMER, Catherine. It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Cay Remmer, in her sleep at the age of ninety-three, on Wednesday, September 20, 2006, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Beloved wife of the late Richard Burke and the late Richard Remmer. Loving mother of Kenneth Burke of Toronto and the late Maureen Deakin and Richard Burke. Also loved by grandchildren Debbie Deakin of Oakville, Gregory Deakin of Owen Sound, Richard, Kenneth, Robert, Trina, Timothy and Travis Burke and great grandchildren Cathleen, Bradley and Stephanie Kurz and Richard and Adam Deakin. Survived by brother John McGowan of London. Predeceased by sisters Mary Rassel, Margaret Theberge and Bernice Reveler and brothers Al, Neil, Bernard, Stanley and Peter McGowan. Friends will be received at the J. SCOTT EARLY FUNERAL HOME, 21 James St., Milton (905) 878-2669 on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be prayed at the funeral home on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at HOLY ROSARY CHURCH, 139 Martin Street, Milton on Friday, September 22, 2006 at 10 a.m. with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
