April 13, 2005 Catherine McBride Buckley, 89, of 312 William St., Geneva, passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2005, in Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call at the DeVaney-Bennett Funeral Home on Friday, April 15, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2005, in the funeral home and at noon in St. Stephen's Church. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions in Catherine's memory may be made to St. Francis-Stephen's School Education Fund or to DeSales High School. Catherine was born in Geneva, the daughter of Timothy J. and Sarah Cecilia Kelly Buckley. She was a graduate of DeSales High School and William Smith College (1938). She was employed with General Electric Corporation from 1940 to 1980. She is a past member of the Zonta International of Syracuse, Geneva General Hospital Auxiliary and William Smith Alumnae. She was a member and Eucharistic minister at St. Stephen's Church. Catherine is survived by her sister, Madeline B. Root of Geneva; brothers, Dr. Stephen V. Buckley of Rochester and John R. Buckley of Geneva; and many devoted nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her sister Elizabeth A. Eades, and her brothers, Maurice F. and James E. Buckley, all of Geneva.
