PATTERSON, Catherine L. (Cathy Garelle) -Age 58 Called home by God Thursday January 21, 2010 surrounded by her loving family. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Leo & Bette (Rohde) Grille; grandmother, Adele Rohde (her adored Mine); beloved life companion, Derek Clarke; brother, Bernard (Bernie) Garelle; and nephew, Jamie DeRico. She is survived by her children, sons, Michael Nelan (Nicola Donahoe); David Nelan (Jennie Daugherty); and daughter, Monica Garelle; brother, Leo Garelle Jr.; sister, Rita Ann Garelle; grandchildren, Kerrick Duchy, Justin Nelan, Brandon and Amanda Couse, Madalenn, Lidia, Dominick and Nathan Nelan. Lifelong best friend, Michelle (Shelly) Lepere; special friends, Jimmy DeRico, Christine Couse, and Marie Duchy. Along with many other friends, cousins, nieces and nephews. "Catherine was a unique character and a very special woman. Her inner strength and fortitude, generous spirit, vibrant personality, quick wit, good humor and beautiful smile touched all that were privileged to know her. Although, she will be sorely missed by those who remain behind, we shall rejoice in our countless precious memories of her." Friends & loved ones may pay their respects at Caywood's Funeral Home & Gardens, 1126 Broadway, Southport on Friday, January 29, 2010 between the hours of 6-8 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date.
