CATHERINE SPERRY HOPPER "When someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure." Catherine S. Hopper, 85, passed away to be with our Lord on March 27, 2014. Katie, as she was affectionately known by friends and family, was born in Westfield, New Jersey and had been a resident of North River Shores, Stuart, Florida for 42 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dr. Guy R. Hopper; her parents, Thomas and Hazel Sperry of Palm Beach, Florida; sister Ann Sperry Rule of Palm Beach Gardens; and brother Thomas Sperry, Jr. of Middletown, New Jersey. A loving wife, friend and mother, she is survived by her longtime friend Max Quackenbos, beloved three sons, Guy Robert Hopper, Jr. of Plano, Texas, George Thomas Hopper, of Walesa, Georgia and John Charles Hopper, of Stuart, Florida, eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 5, 2014 from 10 - 11 AM in the Chapel of Martin Funeral Home & Crematory, Stuart with Services to begin at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Palm City.
