April 12, 2008 Catherine Heath Bailey, 85, of Syracuse died Saturday at home surrounded by her family, after a year's battle with breast cancer. Born in Syracuse, she resided in the Tipp Hill area, attending St. Patrick's School in her early years and graduating from Convent High School. Her beloved husband, Kenneth, to whom she was married for 62 years, passed away in 2005. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed. Catherine is survived by her five children, Karen (James) Balduzzi, Sharon (William) Belge, Joanne (David) Rozyczko, Patti Lu (Victor) Albertson of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and Kenneth J. (Kathy McQueeney) Bailey. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles C. Heath of San Diego; brother-in-law, Fay (Rita Taylor) Bailey; and several nieces and nephews. At Catherine's request, services will be private, and there are no calling hours. She will be buried with her husband in Veterans Cemetery.
