FREDERICK, Catherine "Kay" (nee Hughes) 86 years, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2007 at Windsor Regional Hospital Metropolitan Campus. Beloved wife of the late Roy (1981). Loving mother of Margaret and Gerry Graham of Windsor, John and Mary Ellen of Oakville, Patricia "Gail" Hope of Windsor, Mary and the late Tom Wilson (2003) of Essex, Elaine Dorman of Hamilton, Russell and Leslie of Kanata and Albert and Simone of Tecumseh. Predeceased by parents John and Margaret Hughes. Cherished grandmother to Ryan, Eliza-beth; Heather, Tim; Jennifer, David; Stephanie, Russell; Matthew, Luke, Stephanie; Alexandra, Grayson; Albert and Kurt and great-grandmother to Grace and Chloe. Loving sister to John (deceased) and Leona Hughes, Francis and Mary Hughes, Patrick and Theresa Hughes and predeceased by sister Mary Anne and brother James Hughes. Also survived by brother-in-law Jack and wife Madeline Frederick. Special thanks to Dr. Murugappan and the medical and nursing staff at Windsor Regional Hospital. Catherine was an active member in the Catholic Women's League for many years and also belonged to the choir at Parish of the Atonement. She was an active resident at Glengarda Gardenview. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. A CWL service will be held on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. and parish prayers Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 21, 2007 at 11:15 a.m. from the Marcotte Funeral Home & Chapel 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) to Parish of the Atonement for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. In kindness memorial donations to the Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Catherine Frederick in the Marcotte Heritage Forest.
