EPSOM - Catherine E. (White) Cassin, 82, of Epsom passed away Monday, June 25th, 2012 after a period of failing health. She was born in Concord September 11, 1929, the daughter of Perley White Sr. and Bertina (Glover). A wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Catherine understood the importance of family above all else. She enjoyed taking rides to the beach and tending to her flower gardens as well as knitting and sewing, but she loved spending time with family and friends most of all.Catherine is survived by two sons, Carl "Butch" Cassin II and his wife Carol, and Steven Cassin and his wife Jane, all of Pittsfield; daughter-in-law Karen Cassin of Contoocook; two brothers, Howard and Brian White; one sister, Nancy Cheney; five grandsons, Wayne, Jason, Matthew, Travis and Nathan Cassin; granddaughter Amanda Witham; 11 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and three brothers, she was predeceased in 2000 by her husband of 61 years, Carl Cassin, Sr. and her son Lawrence Cassin in 2010.A graveside service will be held Friday, June 29, at 2 p.m. at Blossom Hill Cemetery, 207 North State Street in Concord.
